Chemische Fixierung ( mit Aldehyden und Osmiumtetroxid ) und anschließende Einbettung in Kunstharze, aber auch Hochdruck-Gefrieren ( BALTEC, HPM010 ), Gefriersubstitution und Tieftemperatureinbettungen ( Leica AFS I & II ) können genutzt werden, um Proben ultrastrukturelle Analysen oder Immuncytochemie herzustellen.

It offers state of the art equipment and assistence for a wide range of techniques related to transmission electron microscopy.
Conventional chemical fixation ( aldehyde - osmium tetroxide ), subsequent plastic embedding and sectioning ( Leica Ultracut S ) as well as high pressure freezing ( Bal-Tec HPM 010 ), freeze substitution and low temperature embedding ( Leica AFS I & II ) can be used to prepare samples for immunocytochemistry or ultrastructural analysis.
