Der Kranke kniet in verkrampfter Haltung zu Füßen des Heiligen; der linke Arm ist wie hilfesuchend nach oben ausgestreckt, der rechte ist bodenwärts gerichtet, so dass andeutungsweise die Figur eines Kreuzes resultiert, Symbol des Leides.
Der Kopf des Kranken ist in einer unnatürlichen Position zur rechten Schulter gebogen, Mund und Augen sind geöffnet, die Gesichtszüge zeigen die Qual des Anfallkranken.

The man? s head is bent in an unnatural way towards his right shoulder, his mouth and eyes are open, his facial expression shows the torment of a person with epilepsy.
