Quecksilber findet Einsatz in der Arzneimittel-, Farb- und Batterieherstellung, bei der Erz- und Mineralienaufarbeitung, in der Kohle-, Erdöl-, Glas- und Kunststoffindustrie sowie bei der Herstellung von Schädlingsbekämpfungsmitteln.
