Die mexikanisch-deutsche Klimaschutzallianz unterstützt die mexikanische Regierung bei der Erreichung ihrer klimapolitischen Ziele.
Durch Beratung auf nationaler Ebene werden rechtliche Grundlagen und Kompetenzen gestärkt sowie Instrumente für eine breite Anwendung weiterentwickelt .
In Bundesstaaten und Gemeinden werden auf Nachfrage der mexikanischen Partner Kompetenzen und Leistungsfähigkeit subnationaler und nichtstaatlicher Akteure für die Erarbeitung, Umsetzung und das Monitoring von Klimamaßnahmen gestärkt.
