Der Trabi zum Reinsetzen ist ein Highlight der Ausstellung des DDR Museum in Berlin
www.ddr-museum.deDie 3D-Simulation wurde vom Fraunhofer Heinrich-Hertz-Institut in Zusammenarbeit mit Experten von ravir Film und den Konstrukteuren von LaWE-Media entwickelt.
Die Frontscheibe zeigt eine realistische 3D-Simulation einer Plattenbausiedlung, durch die der Besucher den Trabi eigenhändig lenkt.
Neben der originalgetreuen Ausstattung – wie Lenkrad, Gaspedal und Bremse – verfügt der Trabant 601 auch über die typische Zweitaktmotor-Geräuschkulisse.

The windscreen displays a realistic 3D simulation of a Plattenbausiedlung, a high-rise housing estate of prefabricated concrete slabs typical for the former GDR, through which visitors themselves can navigate the Trabi.
Along with faithful replicas of the car’s original features like the steering wheel, accelerator and brakes, the Trabant 601 also boasts recordings of the authentic sound of the car’s two-stroke engine.
