in der als „Stern- Report“ bekannt gewordenen Arbeit schreibt Nicholas Stern, der ehemalige Chefökonom der Weltbank, dass die direkten und indirekten Auswirkungen des Klimawandels jährlich im Moment 5 Prozent des globalen Bruttoinlandsproduktes vernichten.
Bleibt die Menschheit untätig, wird sich dieser Wert auf 20 Prozent erhöhen, was eine starke Rezession zur Folge haben könnte.
