www.statistik.tu-dortmund.deViele Methoden für quantitative Struktur-Aktivitätsbeziehungen ( QSARs ) liefern nur Punktschätzungen ohne die inherente Unsicherheit der Vorhersage zu quantifizieren.
Eine Möglichkeit statt der Punktschätzung die Unsicherheit einer QSAR Vorhersage anzugeben ist die Vorhersage von bedingten Wahrscheinlichkeitsdichten der Aktivität gegeben die Struktur vorherzusagen.
Wenn eine bedingte Dichteschätzung verfügbar ist, ist es einfach Vorhersageintervalle abzuleiten.

One way to quantify the uncertainy of a QSAR prediction is to predict the conditional density of the activity given the structure instead of a point estimate.
If a conditional density estimate is available, it is easy to derive prediction intervals of activities.
