Für die Zwischenunterbringung des Bundesverfassungsgerichts wurden auf einem etwa 2 km vom Stammsitz entfernten Areal drei ehemalige Stabsgebäude der Luftwaffe zu Büros sowie das Lehrsaalgebäude zu einem Sitzungssaal mit großzügigem Foyerbereich umgebaut.
Im ehemaligen Kommandoraum ist der Plenarsaal des Gerichts untergebracht.
Die Verlagerung großer Teile des Bundesverfassungsgerichts in einen Interimsdienstsitz gewährleistet aber nicht nur die Bewältigung der hohen Arbeitslast des Gerichts ohne erhebliche Beeinträchtigungen durch Umbaumaßnahmen.

The former command room now houses the Court? s plenary hall.
However, the move of large parts of the Federal Constitutional Court to temporary premises not only ensures that it will be possible for the Court to manage its heavy workload without major disruptions caused by the renovation measures.
