Nun hat die Webseite eine neue Sprache im Programm - die fast ausgestorbene Pfeif-Sprache Silbo Gomero.
Silbo Gomero ist eine fast ausgestorbene Sprache der kleinen Insel Gomera, Teil der Kanarischen Inseln in Spanien.

Now, busuu.com has a new language to offer: the fascinating whistled language of Silbo Gomero.
Silbo Gomero is a nearly extinct language spoken on the small island of La Gomera, one of the Canary Islands in Spain.

Theoretisch könnte aber fast jede Sprache der Welt in Silbo Gomero gepfiffen werden.
Silbo kommt dabei mit nur 4 Konsonanten und 4 Vokalen aus.
www.busuu.comSpoken messages can be heard up to a distance of200 metres but Silbo Gomero can be heard and understood up to a distance of 8 kilometers.
Silbo uses vowels and consonants like most languages and so it can be directly translated into Spanish.
So in theory almost any language can be whistled.
