Bemerkenswert ist, dass HORVATH das als » Vorbereitung zum Hochverrat « geltende Delikt nach Abschluss des deutsch-sowjetischen Nichtangriffspaktes im August 1939 und noch vor dem deutschen Angriff auf die Sowjetunion im Juni 1941 beging.
Der im Gefangenenhaus des Landesgerichtes Salzburg inhaftierte Mathias HORVATH wurde allerdings erst am 11. Februar 1942, während des Krieges gegen die Sowjetunion, vor Gericht gestellt.
Kaum bekannt ist, dass vom 10. bis 13. Februar 1942 die Prozesse des 7. Senats des Oberlandesgerichtes Wien unter dem Vorsitz des Senatspräsidenten Ludwig Engel im Schwurgerichtssaal des Landesgerichtes Salzburg stattfanden.

Mathias HORVATH was thrown into the Salzburg State Court jail and didn’t come to trial until February 11, 1942 — by which time Germany and the Soviet Union were at war and the offense was even more serious.
From February 10-13, 1942 a little known sitting of the 7th Senate of the Vienna Superior Court, presided over by Judge Ludwig Engel, took place in the courtroom of the Salzburg State Court.

Stochmal was supposedly sent first to Auschwitz and then Sachsenhausen (the dates of his deportations and death are unknown).
