Bei den Weltmeisterschaften der Forstfacharbeiter im schottischen Lockerby holte die aus drei Vorarlbergern bestehende österreichische Mannschaft ( Hermann Stocker, Josef Bitschnau, Herwig Erhard ) den WM-Titel, Bitschnau wurde Zweiter in der Einzel-Gesamtwertung.
