Bei der Produktion von Behälterglas existiert zwischen dem Schmelzofen ( Arbeitswanne ) und dem Former ( Kopf ) ein sogenannter Speiser oder Vorherd über den das flüssige Glas geleitet wird.
Die Bedingungen für ein konkretes einwandfreies Produkt sind eine nahezu konstante Temperatur und Geschwindigkeit der Glasschmelze am Ort der Formeinrichtung.
Dafür gibt es verschiedene Stelleingriffe, die im Falle der Temperatur zu Gruppen ( Zonen ) zusammengefassten Gasbrennern entlang des Speisers entsprechen.
