Die SILVER ATENA V12-Diesel-FADEC steuert aktuell einen neu entwickelten V12 Common-Rail Diesel-Verbrennungsmotor von RED aircraft.
Mit seiner enormen Leistung von 500 PS übertrifft der neue 12-Zylinder-Turbodieselmotor derzeit eingesetzte Flugmotoren bei weitem und konkurriert vielmehr bereits mit Turbinenantrieben, denen er aber bei Spritverbrauch und Beschaffungskosten deutlich überlegen ist.

The SILVER ATENA V12 Diesel FADEC currently controls a newly developed V12 common rail diesel internal combustion engine by RED aircraft.
With its enormous output of 500 HP the new 12-cylinder turbo diesel engine is far more powerful than currently used aircraft engines and competes with turbine engines, compared to which it is clearly superior in fuel consumption and acquisition costs.

Die Entwicklung erfolgte konform zu den zivilen Luftfahrtstandards DO-178B und DO-254, bezüglich Umweltbedingungen wird die FADEC nach DO-160G qualifiziert.
Die Motorsteuerung ist für Flugzeuge, die nach CS-23 / FAR 23 zugelassen sind sowie für Hubschrauber nach CS-27 und CS-29 ausgelegt.

The engine control is suitable for aircrafts certified according to EASA CS-23 / FAR 23 as well as rotorcrafts certified according to EASA CS-27 and EASA CS-29.
