Es ist von der Vorsehung gewollt, daß dieser Akt am Fest Kreuzerhöhung stattfindet, das im Jahr 335 im Osten entstanden ist – und zwar am Tag nach der Weihe der Auferstehungskirche, die Kaiser Konstantin der Große, den ihr als Heiligen verehrt, auf Golgota und über dem Grab des Herrn errichtet hat.
Nächsten Monat wird der 1700. Jahrestag der Erscheinung gefeiert, die ihn in der symbolischen Nacht seines Unglaubens das flammende Christusmonogramm hat sehen lassen, als eine Stimme zu ihm sagte:
