www.cleaner-production.deBei der Erweiterung der Kläranlage Cloppenburg auf 190.000 EGW wurde als wesentliches Verfahrenselement eine 2-stufige Biofiltration zur weitergehenden Abwasserreinigung nach der biologischen Vorreinigung ( Hochlasttropfkörper und Belebtschlammverfahren ) in den Reinigungsprozess integriert.
Aufgabe der Biofiltration ist neben einer weitgehenden Nitrifikation der stark schwankenden Ammoniumfracht eine weitergehende CSB- und Phosphorelimination, sowie einen weitgehenden Feststoffrückhalt sicherzustellen.
Durch die im Rahmen des Demonstrationsvorhabens durchgeführten Untersuchungen und Kontrollmessungen konnte nachgewiesen werden, dass durch die 2-stufige Biofiltration eine weitere CSB-Abnahme um ca. 60 % auf ca. 35 mg / l, sowie eine Abnahme der Pges-Konzentration auf durchschnittlich 0,5 mg / l erzielt werden kann.

By the analytical program carried out in the course of the demonstration Project on biofiltration sponsored by the German Umweltbundesamt, it could be proved that the 2-stage biofiltration plant effects additional COD-removal of about 60 % ( effluent concentration 35 mg / l ) and an average final total phosphorus concentration of about 0.5 mg / l.
