He first came in contact with jazz and Jazz-Rock thanks to his then teacher Petr Pohl, Thomas Schwebisch as well as Martin Schuster.
With "BIG BANG", a Jazz-Rock band, he celebrated first successes (for instance a 1st prize at the "Rockinella" band contest, support act for "Flying Pickets" and "Black Sabbath").
