Die in EASY-A für die Demonstratoren entwickelten 60 GHz Up/Down-Converter mit Antennen werden als Frontend an den Sounder angeschlossen.
Damit wird gegenüber herkömmlicher 60 GHz Frequenz-Converter-Technik eine Miniaturisierung erreicht, die eine sinnvolle Anwendung in einer realen „in-Fahrzeug-Umgebung“ überhaupt erst ermöglicht.
