- This is an international show for the visual arts, cinema, architecture, dance, music, and theatre. The visual arts section, which is held in the Gardens, still takes place every two years and often welcomes avant-garde artists. The first Biennial International Art Exhibition was held in 1895. The section devoted to cinema takes place annually. The other sections take place at irregular intervals.

- Il festival dei due mondi (Two World Festival) or Festival di Spoleto (in the province of Perugia) takes place each year from late June to mid-July. It hosts dance, theatre, opera, and music events to which the biggest world names are invited. There are often avant-garde productions. Since 1958 Spoleto has attracted a sophisticated international audience.
