The social security makes it possible to ensure the employees against unemployment, the disease, old age (retirement pension), the occupational accidents.
They were also entitled to a number of privileges in terms of retirement pension, the payment of public utility charges, and the supply of food and other goods.
They slowly gained additional privileges, including relative ranks and insignia in 1920, a retirement pension in 1926, and a disability pension if injured in the line of duty in 1926.
